Legal

Privacy policy.

The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and we tell you exactly what we do with it.

Privacy policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026. This policy explains what information Typestry collects, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

What we collect

  • Personality test answers. Your responses to the test are used to calculate your results. We process them as you take the test, and we do not require an account.
  • Your email address. If you choose to provide it — for example to unlock your full profile or subscribe to our newsletter — we use it only to deliver what you asked for.
  • Basic usage data. Like most websites, we may collect anonymised information about pages visited and browsers used, to understand what people find useful.

How we use your information

We use test answers to show you your results and nothing else. We use email addresses to send you your results and, if you opt in, occasional updates. We never sell personal data. We do not build advertising profiles about you.

Cookies

We use only the minimum necessary for the site to work, such as remembering your place in the test within a single session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Sharing

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share data with service providers we use to operate the site (for example, hosting and email delivery), who are bound to keep it confidential.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to withdraw consent. You can contact us using the details on our About page and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children

Typestry is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
